This is Real Economic Stimulus

The government doesn't create jobs. The government doesn't produce jobs. Yet those in the government take credit for the success of our great economy. Those in the government need to shut up and pay attention to who really is creating a true market, real jobs, and who is really stimulating America's economy. Let us take a look at one of these businesses.

This company generates thirty-six million in sales every hour of every day. These sales generate a profit of twenty thousand nine hundred and twenty eight dollars every minute. This company will sell more from New Year's Day until St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target will all year. This company is larger than Home Depot, Target, Sears, Costco, K Mart, and Kroger combined. This company is the largest private employer in the world employing one point six million people. As a matter of fact this business is the largest company the world has ever known. In a fifteen year period this behemouth has grown so much that it sells more food than Safeway and Kroger combined. Also, this company sells more food than any other store in the world. In the USA there are approximately thirty nine hundred stores. Nineteen hundred and six of these are supercenters, one thousand more than it had five years ago. Seven point two billion purchases will be made in these stores this year. Ninety percent of Americans live within fifteen miles of one of these stores. I'm sure that you have guessed it by now. Yes, this company is Wal Mart.

Here is the track record of some of our governments endeavors. The Post Office was created in 1775. That was 235 years ago. Today the Post Office is operating in the red and would be shut down if it wasn't for the American tax payer. Social Security was started in 1935 and it has fifty trillion in unfunded liabilities. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. Fannie Mae is broke too. The war on poverty was started by LBJ in 1964. This war transfers one trillion dollars of wealth from the producers to the welfare recipients every year now. Will the war on poverty ever end? Medicare and Medicaid were both created in 1965. The two together have over forty trillion in unfunded liabilities. Freddie Mac was born in 1970. Yep, it's broke too. The Department of Energy was formed in 1977 to relieve our countries dependence on foreign oil. Today we import more oil than ever. What a great job those fellows are doing!

Now these jokers in Washington want to run our health care system and they are serious. This is one fifth of America's economy. Based on the government's track record, these politicians, (if any of them were honest) wouldn't even consider such an undertaking. These pols are going to ruin the best system in the world. They are on a mission to bury us.

What these politicians should do is learn from the executives at Wal Mart. Wal Mart execs could run our health care system very efficiently. They are experienced at delivering value to a public that wants a service. Washington politicians and bureaucrats will never learn. However, private business leaders understand how a business works. The Wal Mart model works, They have truly stimulated America's economy. I say let's give them a crack at fixing what's broke in our country's health care system. Again, the morons in the government will only destroy health care.
